Ms.Sherry Lassiter, President & CEO, the Fab Foundation, USA visited Bhubaneswar and held meetings with Mr. Manas Panda, Director, STPI and senior officials of STPI Bhubaneswar regarding establishment of the Fab Lab.

Accompanied by Mr. Panda, Director, STPI, she also met Sri C.J. Venugopal, IAS, Principal Secretary, Electronics and IT Department, Government of Odisha and Dr. Nitin Jawale, MD, Industrial Promotion and Investment Corporation of Odisha Ltd. (IPICOL). She highlighted on the positive impact of Fab Lab on the MSME IT units and the feasibility of establishments mini Fab Labs in Tier-II cities of the State.

She had an interactive session with nearly 20 electronic hardware and ESDM startups and answered their queries on how the Fab Lab would be useful to them and would be an added advantage for the startup ecosystem of the State.
